At that time, people did not preferred women to be into the high profile like that of a Doctor. But Maura did it the hardest way to get into the practice.
Besides medical, she was also interested in the origin of life, nature and the lifecycle. Thus, she discovers other living beings, Prometheus on a different ship. Meanwhile on her journey to the destination, she loses her brother and tries her best to find him.
Later, Maura gets stuck into different aspects like helping other people for medicinal issues and more. 1899 also discusses stories of various individuals and that’s why it complicates the viewers of about one track.
The series was cancelled due to the reason that the series is complex to understand by the audience. There are several scenes which are confusing people on the actual story. However, the creators tried to convince that this is a mystery story and all the parts are interconnected. Still, the DARK creators did not got another chance to play the movie further.
